Mitwitz mourns the death of reiner ewald

"You fought alone, we suffered together, we all lost". With these sad words, it was not only his relatives who said goodbye to reiner ewald in a funeral announcement. The third mayor of mitwitz died on 16. December at the age of 60 in the university hospital in wurzburg after a long illness.

On the market town council since 2002

with reiner ewald, the market town of mitwitz loses a long-serving and deserving local politician. Since may 2002, he has been an uninterrupted member of the market town council for his faction, the free voters’ association, and has also held the office of third mayor from the beginning. In addition, since 2002 he has been a member of the finance committee and the school association, a representative on the building committee, the administrative association and the steinach valley wastewater association, and since 2006 a member of the audit committee. In may 2004, he was a committed member of the tourism and culture committee and a representative on the youth, family and senior citizens’ committee.

In 1995, reiner ewald became a member of the free voters’ association mitwitz and served as its first chairman from 1998 to 2014. Under his leadership, the free electoral community of mitwitz experienced a steady increase in the number of votes cast for it. Since 1998, reiner ewald has also been a member of the kronach district association of the free electoral community, where he was involved in the extended executive committee. He was one of the first members from the district of kronach to join the state association of free voters.

The funeral service for reiner ewald will be held today, friday, 22nd. December, at 2 p.M. In the jakobskirche of the evangelische kirchengemeinde mitwitz held with a funeral afterwards.
