Ulrike kruger new chairwoman

The changeover was a success – just as chairwoman elke scheu, her deputy nicole hager and treasurer jorg sebald had envisaged. For nine years they formed the leadership team of the weilersbach horticultural society . Now all three have given up their offices at the general meeting in the club restaurant nagengast, but continue to support the work of the club as assessors.

The friends of the garden are now led by ulrike kruger as their new chairman . Roland maltenberger is her deputy and lukas paul is in charge of the treasury. The office of writer is shared by petra knauer and katharina paul. Bernadette kapp, matthias knauer, barbara kromes, elke scheu, jorg sebald, nicole hager, karin paul, stefanie peinkofer and anja de rosa serve as assessors. The winners were once again alfred hack and walter eckert.

But the gartlers don't love "their elke" that easily. "For her tireless dedication and the great voluntary commitment with which she has led the association", as deputy chairwoman hager said in a short laudatory speech, she was appointed honorary chairwoman.

Elke scheu had looked back for the last time as chairman on the past years, in which there was a pleasing trend in the number of members. Currently the club has 177 members . Treasurer sebald reported a positive result in the past garden year .

Mayor marco friepes, who did not spare with praise and recognition for the achievements of the garden friends, honored longtime loyal members : for 40 years maria hack and arthur wolker, for 25 years monika dennerlein and ottmar kraus and for 15 years adelheid amon.

The new chairwoman kruger announced some events for the garden year 2022. Starting in spring with a pruning course at the burgermeister friepes estate.
